Last weekend, 5 and 6 October, the second round of participants in the innovative “CuidomiDiabetes” programme took place in the emblematic Pazo de Mos in Pontevedra. During these two days, a total of 15 participants had the opportunity to train and experience lifestyle changes based on the four fundamental pillars of the programme: diet, physical activity and exercise, emotional management and rest and sleep.
In order to carry out this learning process, the participants had the valuable guidance of a multidisciplinary team of professionals from the Vigo Health Area:
- Vanesa Martínez Pérez: Diabetes Nurse Educator.
- Mª Carmen Vallejo Curto: Specialist nurse in mental health.
- Mª Jesús Garrido Ferrero: Nutritionist and Nurse.
- Margarita Prego Sobral: community physiotherapist.
- Noa Siñuela González: Community physiotherapist.
- Paula Urones Cuesta: Nurse and coordinator of the programme in Galicia.
This programme aims to improve the quality of life of people with type 2 diabetes through a comprehensive and personalised approach. Thank you to all the participants and professionals who made this experience possible!
