The Diabetoloty Unit of ASL ROMA 2, affiliated entity of the Istituto Superiore di Sanità (ISS) in the European project CARE4DIABETES, has organized on 6 May an event intended as a means for reporting and discussing on the state of the art of Diabetes care on the Rome ASLROMA2 territory. It is organized twice a year and is an accredited event in the context of Continuous Education in Medicine for Diabetologists, Cardiologists, other clinical specialties and healthcare professionals.

During this event the focus was put on the need of multidisciplinarity and synergy in Diabetes care, to fully exploit tech innovation and telemedicine and to improve primary care as well as the management of complications.

Claudia Giacomozzi, from ISS, partner of the project CARE4DIABETES, made a presentation highlighting the main objectives of the project and the involvement of Italy in the implementation of the pilots that will be carried out. CARE4DIABETES is a project co-funded by the European Commission in the framework of the EU4Health Programme.
