Marta Pisano, coordinator of the CARE4DIABETES Joint Action Project, presented the communication ‘Diabetes in Europe: progress and challenges through the CARE4DIABETES project’ at the 34th Annual Meeting of Nurse Case Managers in Madrid on 6 June.
It provides an overview of the project, the challenges faced and the first results obtained with the first group of participants in Asturias.
The importance of the results already obtained with this intervention reflects the potential support for new policies that promote evidence-based empowerment actions for people with type 2 diabetes and more cost-effective disease management, thus improving the efficiency of health investments across the EU.
